In the story about Tewkesbury High Street having to partially close while work on an unsafe building is carried out (Echo, March 31), you quote a borough councillor as saying 'Our main concern will be the impact this move will have on the tourist and other businesses in the High Street. We must not do anything which will harm the trade, which is fairly weak at the moment'.
Did he really say this? Did he say anything similar when his own council decided, behind closed doors, to close the Bishop's Walk toilets and replace them, sometime in the future, with a 'pod' in a car park?See the full content of this document
