DO you think it was whimsy that caused Mr Braunholtz (Echo, September 30) to propose having a country park in an urban area? The whole of the Leckhampton white land, which seems to exercise him so much, is within the borough of Cheltenham. I have lived on this land for many years and the bountiful wildlife that was here then disappeared decades ago when Warden Hill, Column End and Allenfield were built on farmland and agricultural land. Good job there were no nimbys then.
The land nowadays has nothing to offer and I hardly even see any of the good people of Leckhampton walking the fields - other then the occasional dog walker.See the full content of this document
