THE ill-fated Noddy Train is making a comeback in Gloucestershire. Plans to trial a land train similar to the three gas-powered engines which ran through Cheltenham town centre a decade ago have been put forward by a businessman in Gloucester.
LET Mr Stephens privately operate any revival of the Noddy Train. In Cheltenham the use it received was from schoolchildren in the holidays as a novelty item and very few others. It clogged up the streets as it turned at traffic lights and now that Cheltenham has more sets of traffic lights in close succession, traffic would wait for many changes of lights before they could proceed.
