REGARDING the toilets in Bishop's Walk, Tewkesbury. The council is still determined to close them. Why? It just seems such a stupid idea.
Everyone I speak to, and discuss the matter with agrees. We would all rather have them where they are, and not in Spring Gardens car park. Could we please have a reason why they cannot stay where they are? If the council needs somewhere for some reason, what is wrong with the empty shop next door to Lloyds Chemist in Bishop's Walk? Surely it would be better and cheaper to improve the present toilets than build new ones. And why are the ones in Gander Lane car park boarded up? While my husband was waiting for a bus last week, a lady off a coach asked him where the nearest toilets were and he was sorry to have to tell her they were at the other end of the town.
