Since more of us are, possibly, holidaying at home this year, it is good that some clubs and societies remain active to interest and entertain us. Good Companions meet in the All Saints' Centre, Uplands, next Wednesday from 2pm to 4pm. This meeting will feature Favourite foods when we were young, which is a group activity. Also on Wednesday July 8 at 11.15am there will be an AGM for Uplands Care Service at the same address, with speaker Patrick Graham. Further details on 01453 758 420 (evenings).EVENTS still continue at The Space with the Cinema Club and a showing of Che: Part One (15) on Thursday June 25 and Vicky Cristina Barcelona (12A) on Sunday June 28. Doors open on Thursdays at 7.45pm for an 8.15pm performance and on Sundays, doors open 7.30pm for an 8pm start. Tickets cost pounds5/ pounds3 under-20s on the night. Annual membership is pounds2.
