A SMALL independent county company beat off national competitors to win a contract to replace all the windows and doors at Gloucester railway station and signal box.
C&L Windows, Doors and Conservatories, based in Stroud Road, Gloucester, had to carry out the work while the station was continuing to operate. And for operational reasons the signal box installation had to take place at night - a rarity for the company. C&L was set up in 1989 by Paul Cleal and Laurie Lane who were joined in 2000 by Nigel Martin, who took over the sales side of the business.See the full content of this document
