Summary
CELEBRITY antiques expert Tim Wonnacott and his Bargain Hunt crew have been busy over the past few days, with eight teams getting together lots for four episodes of the show. The big day for all of them will be on Friday, when their choices go under the hammer at Moore Allen and Innocent's sale at Norcote, near Cirencester.
Among the best of the lots is a set of three Edwardian theatre chairs in the Sheraton revival style. Made of mahogany inlaid with satinwood and ebony, the green velvet chairs date from the early 1900s, and auctioneer Philip Allwood has valued them at Pounds 100 to Pounds 150. The question is, how much did the contestants pay - and how much are the bidders prepared to fork out? And will a bidder fall in love with a box of small silver buttons featuring Romeo and Juliet? Dating from around 1900, they were imported by P Vaughton and Sons of Birmingham and carry an estimate of Pounds 80 to Pounds 120.See the full content of this document
