CONCERN over growing unemployment among young people is, without doubt, one of the key challenges to the economy of Gloucestershire. That is why we believe the development of increased apprenticeships by the Government is so important. And that is also why in Apprentice Week, here at The Citizen and Gloucestershire Echo, we are redoubling our efforts to encourage more companies in the county to take on apprentices.
Two years ago, we launched our Apprenticeship Challenge here at Gloucestershire Media and we have been carrying the baton for apprentices ever since with the help of our key partner, Gloucestershire College. And over the last year, we have developed a campaign called 100inONEHUNDRED. The idea was to get local companies to take on a hundred local apprentices during 100 days.See the full content of this document
