PUBLIC lectures on key global issues are being launched at Cirencester's Royal Agricultural College.
The Cator Lecture, on The Importance of Water and Climate Change in Food Produciton, will be given on December 2. It is supported by ex-rural estate management student Henry Cator OBE, who graduated in 1978. A prominent Norfolk farmer, he is also chairman of the Royal Agricultural Society of England and the Association of Drainage Authorities. The speaker will be Dr Jean Venables CBE, chief executive of the Association of Drainage Authorities. RAC vice- principal Professor Paul Davies said: "The new initiative provides a further opportunity for us to openly debate key subjects of such importance to us all as food security and global demand for water."See the full content of this document
