Controversial plans affecting the riverside home of Tewkesbury's town mayor are set to be approved.
Coun Barbara Cromwell and her husband Alan have installed a floating pontoon next to the boat they live in, on the River Avon close to Red Lane. They say it is for safety reasons, as it helps them get on and off the boat in times of flooding. But their retrospective planning application to the borough council prompted complaints from other boaters and the Lower Avon Navigation Trust, which manages the stretch of river.See the full content of this document
