WITH a military salute a group of Tewkesbury friends are calling for attention. Jenny Whitcombe and her fiance Mike Cooper have joined with others in the county to organise Walk in the Cotswolds to support Cancer Research UK's breast cancer awareness and fundraising campaign 'Join the fight for women's survival'.

The walk takes place from Guiting Power Village Hall on October 9. Jenny said: "Mike and I volunteered with Cancer Research UK online because we wanted to do something positive following the tragic loss of Mike's mum, Ruth Young, after a seven-year battle with cancer."
