Summary
May I thank your readers for their support in the recent county council elections. It is encouraging to retain the seat against the political tide, even if it is by a majority of only 21. Commiserations must go to my hard working friend and colleague Brian Marsh.
I am confident this defeat will not dampen his enthusiasm for working for our community. May I congratulate my fellow councillor Brian Tipper on his victory and express the hope that we can collaborate for the benefit of the Cam and Dursley division.
