GLOUCESTERSHIRE NHS Hospitals Trust has denied destroying morale in accident and emergency departments after a failed attempt to save money on staff wages.

According to unions, the NHS trust failed to follow proper procedure when it removed the majority of senior positions on band seven pay bracket at the department at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, replacing them with staff on the lower band six salary.
