A NEW portrait of one of Gloucestershire's most famous sons, Ralph Vaughan Williams, has been unveiled at an anniversary concert featuring one of the composer's most famous works.
Five Mystical Songs was performed at the Three Choirs Festival, which ended on Saturday, almost 100 years to the day Vaughan Williams conducted it himself for the first time. Bishop's Cleeve resident Spencer Lamb was part of the Worcester Cathedral Chamber Choir that gave the performance. The choir has launched its latest CD, Rise Heart, which includes a number of Vaughan Williams songs.See the full content of this document
