JONJO O'Neill has applauded the advances made in racing and the support offered to injured jockeys.

The former two-times champion jockey, who retired at the end of the 1985-86 season, said wide-ranging improvements had been made on and off the track, including trying to minimise the dangers to riders and to help them regain fitness.
