A CELEBRATION marked the 70th anniversary of the inaugural flight of Britain's first jet aircraft - the E28 Gloster-Whittle - at Gloucester Business Park, where it was designed and built.
The event was staged by property group Goodman, which now owns the site in Brockworth where Sir Frank Whittle's turbo jet engine made its debut with the Gloster Aircraft Company. Business Park customers were treated to an impressive aerobatic display by Prestbury Model Flying Club and the Jet Age Museum, Gloucester, brought along a full-scale replica of the E28.See the full content of this document
