CHELTENHAM Gold Cup winner Kauto Star has been hailed as the best horse since the legendary Arkle after being crowned as Horse of The Year.

The Paul Nicholls-trained nine-year-old was named as the best in the business at the 10th Anglo-Irish National Hunt Classifications in central London.
