I HAVE developed an uneasy relationship with Asian food in recent years, the rich ghee-cooked dishes often weighing heavily upon my stomach the day after eating. Until last week I had not eaten curry for several months, but when Isabel, my girlfriend, suggested we join a mutual friend for dinner at the Spice Exchange, I was keen to give it another shot. I was not to be disappointed. Based in Clarence Parade, this unpretentious restaurant is something of a hidden gem.
