IS your business proud of its green credentials? Why not nominate it for this year's Gloucestershire Media Green Business of the Year Award, part of the newspaper group's Citizen and Gloucestershire Echo 10:10 Awards. Open to all Gloucestershire companies, this award rewards local businesses who have made a positive contribution to providing environmentally-friendly business practice. Businesses will be judged on what they do to limit the negative environmental impact of their operation.
This includes steps they have taken to improve the local environment. How do you encourage employees or customers to act in an eco-friendly manner? Do you have long-term strategies that are in place to minimise the impact on the environment? Do you source your products or suppliers locally? Do you purchase products from environmentally-friendly companies? Does your company minimise waste and use energy efficient appliances/machines? Are your deliveries reduced to cut down on emissions?
