Cotswolds tycoon Sir Christopher Evans, who was at the centre of the cash-for-honours inquiry, has expressed his delight that he will not face any charges.

A Metropolitan Police inquiry was launched in March last year after Scottish National Party MP Angus MacNeil alleged that four wealthy individuals had been nominated for peerages after lending Labour large sums of money.
