THE best bluegrass festival in Britain returns to Kemble airfield next month. The Didmarton Bluegrass Festival is taking place at the site from September 4 to 6. Now in its 21st year, the event brings the pick of the genre's best bands from the UK and USA to perform in Gloucestershire. Headlining this year is the high energy American band Mountain Heart.
There will also be sets by Carl Jones and Beverly Smith, Leon Hunt's new band The Scoville Units, Rabbi John, A Band Like Alice, and Monroe's Revenge. As well as traditional bluegrass music there are acts for folk and jazz lovers at the festival too. As well as the packed musical programme, there is dancing from Chequered Flag and Applejacks.
