AFTER 22 years Cheltenham chef David Everitt-Matthias is still leading the pack when it comes to fine dining in Gloucestershire. David runs Le Champignon Sauvage in the Suffolks with his wife Helen which has been ranked sixth in The Good Food Guide 2010 Top 50.

It's just behind the likes of Heston Blumenthal's Fat Duck in Bray which came first, followed by Gordon Ramsay at Royal Hospital Road, London and Marcus Wareing at the Berkeley. This year The Good Food Guide has expanded its list of the Top 40 UK restaurants to a Top 50 as so many up-and-coming UK chefs made the grade.
