A MAN who stole rings and a watch worth Pounds 14,000 from two jewellers shops by pretending to be a customer gave a judge a mouthful of abuse when he was jailed.

Michael Williams, 42, swore angrily at Judge William Hart when he received a 16-month jail term for the thefts from jewellers in Cheltenham and Bath.
