WATER is always a bonus in a garden. From the smallest fountain to large lakes it has a calming, reflective quality that adds a feeling of tranquillity to any plot.
Few gardens have quite the setting of Upper Court in Kemerton though, which is blessed with not one but two stretches of water. These not only provide a lovely backdrop to the garden, they also set its tone and style. The old manor has been the home of Bill and Diana Herford for the past 37 years. They run it as a business, using cottages in the grounds as holiday lets and hosting events such as weddings and hen parties. The gardens reflect this multi- purpose use with numerous seats for guests to sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings and a large flat area of grass for marquees.See the full content of this document
